چکیده
The article presents a method for estimating the level of discrete white noise in an image, based on use linear difference operators with vector mask. Two variants new are proposed, which differ accuracy obtained estimates and computational complexity. first version can be attributed to class block methods, whereas second one is intended rapid image analysis processing small number rows or columns image.

Training Methods for Image Noise Level Estimation on Wavelet Components
The estimation of the standard deviation of noise contaminating an image is a fundamental step in wavelet-based noise reduction techniques. The method widely used is based on the mean absolute deviation (MAD). This model-based method assumes specific characteristics of the noise-contaminated image component. Three novel and alternative methods for estimating the noise standard deviation are pro...
متن کاملClassification image weights and internal noise level estimation.
For the linear discrimination of two stimuli in white Gaussian noise in the presence of internal noise, a method is described for estimating linear classification weights from the sum of noise images segregated by stimulus and response. The recommended method for combining the two response images for the same stimulus is to difference the average images. Weights are derived for combining images...

Introduction This document has been written to provide a description of some algorithms that are the frequently used in TINA [6], but would be considered too simple to be published. The common characteristic of these techniques is that they have relatively well defined statistical properties, allowing them to be used as useful intermediate stages in an image processing system. Motivation Many c...
متن کاملAdaptive Noise Level Estimation
We describe a novel algorithm for the estimation of the colored noise level in audio signals with mixed noise and sinusoidal components. The noise envelope model is based on the assumptions that the envelope varies slowly with frequency and that the magnitudes of the noise peaks obey a Rayleigh distribution. Our method is an extension of a recently proposed approach of spectral peak classificat...
